Challenge: This client is a major user of Microsoft technology, who were looking to implement MOSS as a single sign on User Interface for most of its business, which required a Dash Board portal tool, that can integrate and establish as a single point of entry to most applications and tools that it offer to its customers (End-Users).
Solution: HexaCorp, has developed a Initial “Proof of Concept” MOSS portal within our domain to extract a typical client user interface with access to single DASH BOARD that every user can access, with single sign-on capability, a variety of business applications, workflows, access to corporate information and BI tools, through one MOSS portal tool, enabling increase in productivity and improve efficiency.

Challenge: Existing system “Computer Access Forms” is a workflow based application that is used to automate IT / Computer requests for new employees, agents, suppliers, and vendors that have been included into the PVH business process. This system is already running on an existing MOSS Portal. This system required a major functionality change in order to make it a fully functional system that addressed this challenge, which was previously a manual process.
Solution: HexaCorp was engaged in an on-site engagement that performed a detailed system study and business analysis, review application design and document the findings. This required a work estimate to project, which revealed several additional functionalities to existing system and workflow with approvals from various client personnel such as department managers, divisional controllers, CIO and ISG group members. These recommendations were reviewed and accepted by our clients. HexaCorp is now successfully implementing this project.

Challenge: Nearly 20,000 html and classic ASP Pages are used for Intranet Portal - content management/version tracking is too hard for the existing system. Nearly 40,000 PDF policy document, searching/locating the document is very hard. Client had 5000 public folders for external vendor for their information.
Solution: Hexacorp suggested using MOSS Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and developed MOSS Document Management/Enterprise Search feature which several selection criteria and implemented Single Sign on (SSO) feature for user convenience.

Challenge: Develop MOSS – Custom Sites Implementation.
Solution: Developed new SharePoint sites from scratch, as a base template with customized list of templates and extensively developed features in order to handle creation of sites for multiple departments using the base template. Also created business data catalog web parts to bring data from multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle and SAP. Integrated SQL Server Reporting Services with MOSS to show Business Intelligence reports from heterogeneous databases. Developed Sites with integrated windows authentication for Intranet users and Forms based authentication for our extranet users and also enabled users to search and get to the documents integrating couple of File Servers using MOSS Enterprise Search. Developed automated state machine workflows in order to implement client business process. Developed a scheduled batch programs that runs a backup on SharePoint databases on a periodic basis for any disaster recovery.
